Service life of the coatings

To achieve maximum protection of metal products we recommend using a comprehensive protection system: zinc primer (Zincor) + finish coating (Zincor-Aluminum).

Zincor

Due to its high zinc content (96%) and a special polymer base Zincor is able to protect metal surfaces for 10 to 50 years depending on the layer thickness and operating conditions.

The absence of corrosion is guaranteed by the unique property of the primer - cathodic protection (zincing effect). The transfer of electrons from the zinc to the metal to be protected takes place through the difference in the potential of the metals. As long as the zinc is on the metal surface and expends itself to fight the corrosion, the metal is reliably protected.

Decay of the zinc coating occurs at a rate of 2 to 8 microns per year. Factors that affect the depletion of the zinc coating are aggressive environment, mechanical influences.

With a high zinc content (96%) and a special polymer basis Zincor is able to protect metal surfaces for a period of 10 to 50 years, depending on the thickness of the layer and operating conditions

Dependence of layer thickness and service life of Zincor coating in the open air

40 microns 7-10 years
60 microns 10-20 years
80 microns 14-25 years
100 microns 18-25 years
120 microns more than 20 years

According to studies, the zinc coating Zincor corrodes at an average rate of 0.035 μm/year.

Zincor-Aluminum

Zincor-Aluminum creates a continuous protective coating on the surface after application. It retains its protective effect when used in the air, on the ground and in aggressive environments. The shiny silver layer is evenly and smoothly deposited.

Zincor-Aluminum gives up to 5 years additional protection against corrosion.
